Australia Saturday Lotto
The Australia Saturday Lotto is just one of a family of Australian lotteries, and is often known by other names, such as the Gold Lotto, the TattsLotto or the Saturday X Lotto, depending on the state or region of Australia you are in. However, when you enter the Saturday Lotto you are always playing the same game across the country for the same jackpot, even if the name is different.
Although lotteries have been operating various forms in Australia since the 1930s, initially to help raise money for the health system, the Saturday Lotto in its current format is a relative newcomer, having been established in 1972 as the Tattslotto. Its early draws saw top jackpots of just AUD $50,000, a far cry from the AUD $20 million Division 1 prizes we see today.

How to Play and Win the Saturday Australia Lotto
To play the Saturday TattsLotto, players must first choose six numbers from a possible 45. During the draw, players must match the first six numbers drawn from the drum in order to win the jackpot. However, after the first six numbers are drawn, two further numbers will be extracted, which are known as the supplementary numbers. If players match either of these numbers, this will help them win bigger secondary prizes. There are a number of different ways to play the Saturday Lotto – players can either choose numbers themselves; opt for a Quick Pick, where their numbers are chosen for them automatically; or opt for a Pick Entry, which guarantees either one or two winning numbers, meaning players only have to match four or five.
If players are not successful in matching all six numbers, there are another five Prize Divisions available, where players can win by matching just one number and the supplementary numbers. The odds of winning a prize on the Saturday Lotto are 1 in 85, and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 8,145,060.
