UK EuroMillions Player Scoops £15 Million Jackpot
One UK ticket holder certainly had reason to celebrate on Friday evening after winning a EuroMillions jackpot worth £15 million. The lucky player, who has made contact with UK National Lottery officials, correctly matched the numbers 3, 16, 23, 32, 39 and the Lucky Stars 1 and 4 to land the eight-figure sum.
A Great Year for UK Players
Having been claimed last Tuesday by a player from Spain, the EuroMillions jackpot was at its base level ahead of Friday’s draw, but that didn’t stop the game’s top prize from being claimed for a second successive time. However, it was a ticket holder from the UK who prospered this time, capping what has been a memorable year for participants from the island nation.
With October drawing to a close, UK players can reflect fondly on 2017 and a ten month period which has served up a total of six jackpot winners already. These recent successes have helped bolster the co-founder member’s position on the jackpot winners’ table, with the UK now able to boast 69 of the 377 top prize winners to date. France and Spain still lead the way with 87 and 84 wins respectively, while Portugal sit just behind the Brits on 66 wins.

The Clock is Ticking
While there were plenty of smiles in Friday’s draw, there could be a couple of unhappy UK Millionaire Maker winners out there if action is not taken in the coming weeks. With November dawning, the collection deadlines for two supplementary prizes are drawing ever closer, with players in Cheshire and Crawley set to miss out.
The first prize of £1 million was won in the Cheshire area on Tuesday 16th May after a player matched the code XKCV 83963. The winner has until the close of play on Sunday 12th November to claim their reward or risk missing out on a truly sensational sum of money.
National Lottery officials are also on the lookout for a player from Crawley who correctly matched one of the winning Millionaire Maker codes (HQGT 61980) on Friday 2nd June. The lucky player, whose good fortune could be set to run out, has until Wednesday 29th November to collect their prize.
Andy Carter, The National Lottery’s senior winners’ advisor, was on hand to remind players to check their entries ahead of the deadline. "We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing EuroMillions ticket could be hiding,” he said.
