Hunt on For New Jersey Mega Millions Winner

The identity of New Jersey’s latest Mega Millions winner remains unknown, four days after the $533 million jackpot draw. The sum, revised up from an original estimate of $521 million, is the most ever won on a lottery ticket in the Garden State.

Winning Mega Millions Numbers

The winning Mega Millions numbers from Friday 30th March were 11, 28, 31, 46 and 59 with Mega Ball 1. The jackpot had been rolling since Friday 5th January, when 20-year-old Shane Missler of Port Richey, Florida banked $451 million.

New Jersey Mega Millions Winner

The New Jersey Mega Millions winner is yet to come forward, but they do have a full 12 months following the lucky draw in which to stake their claim. They bought their fortuitous ticket at a Lukoil service station in Riverdale, 20 miles north of Newark.

Ameer Krass, owner of the store, told reporters that staff had been able to determine the identity of the winner, who is thought to be a regular customer, from information given to them by the New Jersey Lottery. Officials have yet to confirm this, but did admit they often look through security camera footage to pinpoint the time a winning sale was made.

Mega Millions Jackpot

The sum, after the boost from greater than expected ticket sales, is the USA’s tenth biggest lottery jackpot and the fourth biggest on Mega Millions. The winner can choose to take the full $533 million in 30 instalments over 29 years, or accept $324 million (pre-tax) in cash.
