Record €209 Million SuperEnalotto Jackpot Is Won
Wednesday, August 14, 2019

The biggest SuperEnalotto jackpot in history was won on Tuesday night after a single ticket holder scooped €209 million. The prize had been growing for more than a year and surpassed the previous record back in June.

The winning numbers for Tuesday 13th August were 7, 32, 41, 59, 75 and 76. The Jolly was 21 and the SuperStar was 11. More than 619,000 prizes were won on a special night, but there was only one entry that matched all six main numbers. Check out the full details of the latest SuperEnalotto result.

It was quickly announced that the winning ticket had been sold at the Bar Marino in Via Cavour 46, Lodi, in Lombardy. The winner spent just €2 on their entry and had purchased a Quick Pick, so their numbers were generated at random.

The lucky player now has 90 days to claim their prize, and there is already plenty of local interest in the winner’s identity. Store owner Marisa Caserini said: “We are in the centre of Lodi, but many people come to us from outside, above all for the market.”

Caserini added that the Bar Marino had previously sold two other big winning tickets, including one worth €50,000 last year, but described the latest success as a ‘beautiful moment’.

Biggest SuperEnalotto Jackpot

The last time the SuperEnalotto jackpot was won was all the way back in June 2018, when a syndicate of players from across Italy pocketed a prize of €51 million. The jackpot went past the €100 million mark in February and continued to grow, becoming the highest of all time and even setting a record for the largest lottery prize ever offered in Europe.

The highest SuperEnalotto jackpot ever won was previously €177 million and dated back to October 2010. On that occasion, the money went to a syndicate of 70 players from all over the country who bought their ticket in Milan.

SuperEnalotto fans will now have to wait to find out more information about the latest winner, and the lucky ticket holder even has the option to remain anonymous if they do not wish to share their story with the public.

The jackpot for the next draw, meanwhile, will still be worth an impressive €50 million. The game is played every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evening, and you can take part online or by visiting any authorised retailer in Italy.
