Where Are The World’s Biggest Jackpots This Week?
Thursday, February 7, 2019

South Africa Powerball is continuing to break records, EuroMillions is worth more than £120 million following a recent Superdraw, and SuperEnalotto has climbed to one of its highest ever amounts. Find out all about the big jackpots up for grabs around the world this week.

EuroMillions Rises To £123 Million

The largest EuroMillions jackpot of the year will be offered this Friday night, giving players an opportunity to win £123 million. The top prize has not been won since New Year’s Day, but it was a Superdraw on Friday 1st February which catapulted the jackpot past £100 million.

Superdraws are special events which provide guaranteed big jackpots regardless of whether or not the previous draw was won. They are subsidised by the Reserve Fund and only take place a few times a year. Nobody won the jackpot on the night of the Superdraw so the top prize rolled over, and another draw without a winner on Tuesday has left the top prize at its current amount.

South Africa Powerball Is A Record R180 Million

While EuroMillions is still some way short of its €190 million maximum, the South Africa Powerball jackpot surged past its previous record a week ago and is still growing. The highest prize ever given away on the game is R145 million, but it currently stands at R180 million following a run of rollovers stretching back to last November.

Powerball Plus had also gone above R50 million, but one lucky player matched all five main numbers and the Powerball on 1st February to snap up R53 million. The next draw will take place on Friday night and it could just be that the new record jackpot is finally won.

SuperEnalotto Tops €100 Million

Another nine-figure jackpot is available in Italy this week, with SuperEnalotto now worth more than €100 million. You need to match six main numbers from 1 to 90 to win the top prize, and there have been no jackpot-winning tickets on the game since June of last year.

There are three draws a week and five other prize tiers besides the jackpot, while you can also add the SuperStar option to give yourself even more chances to win and potentially increase the value of any prizes. Go to the SuperEnalotto page to find out more about how the game is played.

Powerball and Mega Millions Combine For Almost $400 Million

Despite the big jackpots in EuroMillions, SuperEnalotto and South Africa Powerball, the largest jackpots in the world can be found in the American multi-state lotteries Powerball and Mega Millions. Powerball is up to $224 million and Mega Millions is not far behind at $157 million, giving them a combined $381 million.

You can play for your chance to win these big jackpots by visiting authorised retailers in the countries where these games are staged, or taking part online from around the world. Good luck!
