Perth Man Reveals Secret To Winning Lotto Six Times

Perth Man Reveals Secret To Winning Lotto Six Times
Wednesday, November 15, 2017

A Western Australian man has revealed his lotto strategy after winning his sixth Division One prize in the space of five years. The man, from Maddington near Perth, celebrated his latest Lotto win over the weekend and estimates that he has now pocketed around AU$500,000 in prize money since the start of the decade.

What’s The Secret?

The lucky winner says the key to his success has been to play as part of a group. It is a method which paid off in the latest Saturday Lotto draw, as his 12-strong syndicate won AU$658,047 after matching all six main numbers.

“The secret is in syndicates,” said the man in The West Australian. “Not only do I increase my chances of winning but the cost is shared among 12 of us so it’s a relatively cheap way to play.”

The Maddington man, who has kept his identity private, has bought five of his six Division One tickets at the Hutton Street Lottery Centre and Newsagency. He added: “I’m not complaining about sharing at all, except with my wife!”

Oz Lotto Win

While the Perth player can now look forward to enjoying his Saturday Lotto winnings, two lucky winners have also been able to celebrate Oz Lotto success after splitting a jackpot of AU$40 million on Tuesday night. Both entries were bought in South Australia, and one of the players has already given her excited reaction to the news.

The woman, a mum from the Orroroo region, said: “My brain is not going to rest today.  This is crazy. I’d heard there was a winning ticket in the region but didn’t think it was me. But I thought I’d just scan my ticket with the Lott app and I’m like ‘oh my God, I think I’m the winner!’. Fair dinkum.  I can’t believe this. You have no idea!  It has come at the most appropriate time! It’s huge!”

Oz Lotto will return with a AU$2 million jackpot next Tuesday, while Australian lottery fans can also take part in Powerball, Monday Lotto and Wednesday Lotto by either visiting authorised retailers or choosing numbers online.
