South Africa National Lottery Launch Rapido

South African lottery fans will now have a chance to win big every five minutes thanks to Rapido. The brand new lottery game allows players to land up to R750,000 between the hours of 05:00 AM and 11:45 PM, seven days a week.

Rapido is available to play through selected South Africa National Lottery retailers and requires players to select eight main numbers in Section A and one additional bonus number in Section B, before placing a bet of either R3, R5, R10, R15, R20 or R25. Alternatively, a Quick Pick option can be obtained. Players can also select the number of draws they wish to play, with a choice of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or even 10 consecutive draws available.

Once the required amount has been paid, players can watch the live draw on an in-store monitor or find the latest results online. There are a whole host of prizes to be won, ranging from R6 on a R3 bet to R750,000 for matching all eight numbers in Section A and the bonus number in Section B. The game’s prize tiers resemble an All or Nothing style lottery, with prizes being awarded for matching minimal and maximum numbers.   

This latest game has been unveiled just weeks after the launch of Lotto Plus 2, an additional supplementary draw that is played alongside South Africa Lotto and Lotto Plus 1. Lottery lovers are now spoiled for choice, especially with the likes of Powerball, Powerball Plus, Pick 3 and South Africa Raffle also on offer.
