Lotto 47 was launched in Michigan on Monday 15th May 2005, and draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday at 7.29pm ET.
How to Play Lotto 47
You must pick six numbers from 1 to 47 to enter, and you can either play online or via licensed retailers in Michigan. You have the option to choose your own numbers or use the Easy Pick function for a randomly generated line, and you can enter up to 60 consecutive draws in advance.
Tickets can be bought for just $1 per line, and you can also choose to play EZmatch, an instant win option available for an additional $1. The Double Play add-on can also be added for an extra $1 stake, offering even more chances to win.
All ticket sales for Michigan Lotto 47 close at 7:08pm ET on the night of the draw, re-opening online at 7:09pm ET and 7:10pm ET at licensed retailers for draws the following day.

When You Win
Michigan Lotto 47 has a starting jackpot of $1 million and does not have a jackpot cap, so the top prize can often roll over several times. When six numbers are matched, jackpot winners can either accept their Michigan Lotto 47 prize as a cash option or receive annual payments over the next 30 years.
Jackpot winners have up to 60 days from the date they claim their prize to request the cash option, and they will receive their winnings in a one-off payment. All prizes must be claimed within one year of the date of the draw.
