South Africa Lotto 5 Max Prizes
South Africa Lotto 5 Max has eight prize tiers, just like the main Lotto draw. Each line has a 1 in 38 chance of winning a prize, which start at R10 for matching three main numbers.
The jackpot increases for every draw that goes by without a winner until the last draw of each month. If there are no winners for an end-of-month draw, the money in the jackpot pool is shared between the Division 2 winners, or the Division 3 winners if there are none in Divisions 1 or 2. If there are no winners in the top three divisions, the jackpot will continue increasing into the next month. This mechanic was added in June 2026, and is called the 'Jackpot Cascade'!
